A one minute detective story

One night a depressed man- Mike walked into a bar, he wanted to have some beer after he fought with his younger brother Jack. They grew up together, but they just found that both of them were falling love with the same neighbor. They discussed several times who would win her love, but nobody wanted to give up.
Half an hour later, Jack entered the bar with a cup of Whiskey which had some ice cubes in it. He sat down next to his brother and said “Drink it, let’s forget everything!” Mike thought it over and was worried his younger brother might poison him. After a few seconds, Jack said “Don’t think too much, let me drink the first half of it.” Then he drank it and passed the cup to Mike again. With a smile on Jack’s face, Mike drank the Whiskey up.
The next day, Mike was found poisoned to death. The detective arrested Jack. But Jack denied everything except that he had shared the same cup Whiskey with Mike. After a few minutes, the detective discovered the clue to the murder. Can you tell me how Jack did it?
Answer: The poison was frozen in the ice cubes by Jack. When Jack drank it in the first time, the ice had not released the poison. But when Mike drank it, the ice had melted.
